||
A man has been arrested after officers found cocaine, cash, a mobile phone and a wrench in a car in Hednesford today (Tuesday 22 July). At 11am, major and organised crime proactive team members searched the vehicle on a car park in Anglesey Street. A 33-year-old man, from Coventry, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), and using a vehicle on a road without third party insurance. He remains in police custody at this time. The activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire. Through Operation Target we have been working hard to disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation. | ||
