Arrest after proactive officers search car

A man has been arrested after officers found cocaine, cash, a mobile phone and a wrench in a car in Hednesford today (Tuesday 22 July).

At 11am, major and organised crime proactive team members searched the vehicle on a car park in Anglesey Street.

A 33-year-old man, from Coventry, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), and using a vehicle on a road without third party insurance.

He remains in police custody at this time.
